Sand Dollar Shuffle 2020
What is the Sand Dollar Shuffle?
The Sand Dollar Shuffle is a virtual race that will take you from the Petty Harbour Mini Aquarium nestled in Petty Habour, Newfoundland and Labrador to the Back to the Sea Society Touch Tank Hut on the waterfront of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Whether you are training for your next triathlon or looking to get the family moving this summer, this event is for you. Lace up for your running shoes, unroll your yoga mat, throw on your goggles, or pump up your tires, because we are all about to #getmoving.
A 1489.1km virtual journey from Petty Harbour, NL to Dartmouth, NS
Families, we want you to #getmoving
A virtual challenge is a great way to stay active while our traditional activities are on hold in 2020. Traditional family hikes, bike rides or a game of soccer are all great activities that fit within the event.
Some other great non traditional activities are also an option and are represented in the Activity Conversions table. Like dancing, fishing or even fencing which could double as a play pirate sword fight session in the tree house.
The most unique activity that is suitable for the whole family is plogging or picking up trash outside. Reducing litter in our neighbourhoods and beaches, something that is very near and dear to the Mini Sisters.
A birds eye view of the Journey.
